Citrus Vanilla Syrup

2/3 cup agave nectar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise

Whisk together agave nectar, lemon juice, orange zest, and lemon zest in a glass measuring cup.  Scrape in seeds from vanilla bean; whisk to blend.  Heat in microwave on high power for 60 seconds or until hot.  Cool 10 minutes.

Variations - In addition to a delicious topping for french toast, pancakes, and waffles, add 1/4 cup to batter for a wonderful flavor infusion.
